Next MFM Workshop Coming Up!

Hello from St. Petersburg, Russia!

Just had an absolutely amazing stroll through this old Russian city...

Listened to some phenomenal Live Classical music (usually not into that but they were awesome) at 11 PM in the evening with the sun still setting, standing 50 feet from a church that was built who knows how many hundreds of years ago--one of those colorful Russian classic buildings you see on postcards... they look even more spectacular close up!

All around me were smiley, happy people--boats riding through the canals... people sitting outside talking, dining... about 80 degrees out... quite a sight.

Get ready for "Marketing Funnel Mastery" Workshop--Even better than the last!

I wanted to let you know that the next MFM live workshop will be on November 6th and 7th in Los Angeles (Friday night, the 5th is optional networking).

This next event will have a smaller number of people with tables... so I can work more closely with everyone.

We'll be working in teams on your plan-of-action in business (your marketing funnels).  Those who attended the last class will be in an advanced group.  

This will be powerful.

Then you can submit your worksheets from Class 2 and attend the workshop.

In order to be a part of the Advanced group at the workshop, you'll need to submit a very detailed version of the Class 3 worksheets AND you must have attended the previous MFM event.

We'll have more information of course soon -- just wanted you to have time to prepare.

When Do You Know You've Become a Leader?

There comes a moment in a person's career (be it a home-based business career or any professional career) where they must recognize they ARE a leader in their field.

That's the same moment they have discovered their value (what they're worth in the marketplace).

Without this realization a person cannot earn much.  They can't direct people with confidence.  They can't value their time.

I ran into this post from Richard Goutal on Facebook that makes this point vivid and personal (exactly what it must become for YOU).

He so openly shares his own discovery of this monumental realization while attending the "No Excuses" event last week.

I think this short post will have a dramatic impact on those who read it.

Materials To Bring to Portland Workshop this Weekend

The Leader's Play Book - What Mike Klingler, Sieg, Dillard, Hoverson, & Jonathan Budd Keep Doing...

Most of you remember the "epic" launch I did with Ann last year for Renegade Professional (it was the biggest in the industry... reaching over a million).
 
But did you know we used a formula to pull it off?

I hear people say there is too much to learn...

That really would be funny if it wasn't so sad how they so easily mistaken opportunity as a bad thing!
 
What's up with that?
 
When I think back nearly 3 years ago when I got my start, I literally reviewed an average of 25 hours of training video a week, EVERY week for at least 6 months straight.  And of course that doesn't count the the 50 hours per week I spent trying to implement what I just learned.

Now, mind you, I was going for the gold. Straight up.

And damn it... it was hard.  Really hard. But seriously--no doubt about it-- it was worth it!!
 
You can tone it down "some" & align your efforts with YOUR own goals.
 
Likely you don't have to create 5 million in 2.5 years to feel it was all worthwhile (if you do I just told you how hard you have to work, hehe).
 
My point is this industry and its leadership is giving you tremendous value.
 
But...
 
Will YOU be taking full advantage of it?
 
Mark and Jonathan just gave you these 6 Free Videos on the Launch Formula
 
They did it, as they should, to build trust and to educate you on WHY you should start using the same  "Launch Formula" play book we do --
 
Yes, indeed.
 
You should learn this skill.
 
Oh, and by the way...

MFM Class 2 Now Posted in "The Vault"

Hello superstars,

It's been a busy season for our industry.

For those of you planning a long-term career that's good news for you. 

The more training and new leaders that emerge the bigger this inspiring market becomes. 

As it matures, those here now who continue developing themselves win big. 

The industry you see today will be extremely different 2-3 years from now.  Don't judge it by what you see today... laugh at it's "Wild West" ways ;-)

The rapid paced environment will slow down sooner or later and that is when you'll realize how exciting and unique it was to have been a part of all this in it's early phases!

Class 2 of "Marketing Funnel Mastery" is now posted inside The Vault.

Class 2 gives examples of the 'first-phase' funnel drawing process for different industries, products and business models.

Even if an example doesn't pertain to you, pay attention!  You will be able to draw a much "smarter" funnel by having this exposure and these examples under your belt.

While you go through Class 2 I don't expect all of you to follow EVERYTHING I cover in the examples. 

It will depend on your experience level. 

And that's OK.  Sit back and soak it in. 

By the time you get to the end of the class today, you'll have the basis to begin filling out the provided Worksheet, which gets you started on the first rough draft for your own funnel.

Those of you who already have cash-flowing funnels in action will find today's class elementary in some respects but refreshing in that it will center you on creating structure and sequence beyond any exercise you've likely encountered.  And that's key to taking your business to a entirely new level financially.

So if you ARE more experienced, be patient.  By the time you get to Class 3 you'll understand why Class 2 was so important to YOU as well as those just getting their start.

And this is for all of you going through Marketing Funnel Mastery...

If you don't trust me through the process of Class 2 and REALLY pay attention you are going to be totally out of it in Class 3.  It'll end up being too complex.  But for those who follow along here in Class 2 it'll be cake.

So follow through.

If you want me to review your worksheet so I can tailor Class 3 with your needs in mind, you will need to submit your drawn out funnel no later than June 9th at midnight PST. 

You can do this by fax or email. 

Or, you can send your completed worksheet by snail mail if necessary but it will have to be postmarked no later than June 10th if you want me to open it.  You'll find instructions on how to send your worksheets to me inside The Vault near the Class 2 training.  With over 350 new MFM students (and over 2400 active members with access) I'm taking on a huge task here -- but I know many of you won't follow through -- the 80/20 rule is always at work!

Those of you attending the Live Event in Portland, I can't encourage you enough...

It is very important that you watch Class 2 now and with your COMPLETE attention... and send the filled-out worksheet (of your first rough draft funnel) on time (before the 9th if by email or fax and before the 10th if by snail mail).

I'll be able to assist you 10x more effectively at the Live Event in Portland if I'm able to review your worksheet now.  I simply can't make any exceptions if you send it in late.  No matter what.  There are too many people.

You do your part and I do mine and you'll make HUGE progress.

An Analysis of Jonathan Budd's "Launch Formula" vs. Marketing Funnel Mastery

Hi guys,
 
You've likely heard a lot recently about Jonathan Budd and Mark Hoverson's "Launch Formula" training made available today.
 
A few people asked me which I would suggest they focus on...

- Marketing Funnel Mastery, or
- "Launch Formula"
 
My Response to You:
 
[I encourage you to take a close look at this comparison below because this can be quite educational].
 
First, "Launch Formula" teaches how to put on a good presentation to get your prospects excited to buy when you direct them to.  "Marketing Funnel Mastery" shows you how to frame your entire business and marketing Structure.
 
As I've mentioned in earlier emails, Jonathan and Mark are among the best, if not THE best right now, at teaching home based business owners how to get people to buy, or follow through on what you are directing them to do within your funnel.
 
This is an extremely important skill that goes far beyond just copy writing.
 
In "Launch Formula" much of what they're teaching is what to do with your prospect to get them to take action on what you're offering... with the emphasis on putting together a launch of your own that creates a frenzy of buyers. 
 
But it goes beyond that because the skill they're helping you hone is knowing how to communicate with a prospect at any stage within your funnel so you build excitement and create anticipation for your offers.
 
This is all very important to learn but is in absolute contrast to what I'm teaching you in Marketing Funnel Mastery.
 
In Marketing Funnel Mastery, I'm teaching you how to put the structure together for your entire marketing funnel from A-Z.
 
For those with access to "Marketing Funnel Mastery" you'll find Class 2 in The Vault tomorrow and will be getting one step closer to having, for the first time, a very detailed drawn out funnel that represents every single step a prospect takes.  You can look at this as the frame of your entire business and marketing plan.  It puts everything you do (every decision you make) into clear perspective.  You can also see this as the organized sequence you walk a prospect through from beginning to end to optimize the value you give and income received.  It is imperative to have it and it's definitely a process to put one together... a process that Marketing Funnel Mastery makes  simple.  Without having this, I've been witnessing people who have a lot to offer just flounder.
 
I believe a person needs both.
 
They are so contrastingly different in what they're teaching ("Marketing Funnel Mastery" being heavily focused on the logic and pragmatic side of your business, and Launch Formula teaching the emotional and psychological elements that get people to "act")... it is a unique opportunity to study then both side by side.
 
I designed Marketing Funnel Mastery so that it was released every 3.5 weeks... to allow for you to continue studying the other training available without becoming overwhelmed. I recommend Launch Formula because there is no doubt that most of the people on my list lack this skill set more than any other 'group' out there.  You guys are the biggest on value but the lightest on how to get people excited about that value.  It's funny because the other 'groups of students' out there are usually big on 'creating excitement and light on value.
 
You are in a position to lead... but you have to learn this element--how to create excitement.  No one can teach that better than Mark and Jonathan.
 
Looking at it another way (comparing the two courses)...
 
I see Marketing Funnel Mastery as helping you build the foundation and frame of your dream home, put on the roof, stairway... and other basic functional elements to form the house while Launch Formula is showing how to choose the right carpet, floors, cabinets, counter tops for the kitchen and bathroom... all that presentation stuff... that will evoke the 'oh wow' factor from your prospects so they buy.
 
You have to have both.  Whether you learn them from these courses or not.
 
And that's why I recommend "Launch Formula" to you.
 
Becoming a master at both is possible.  And it's exactly what I want to see you do.
 
Become a master at both.

There Are Some Things I May Never Teach You...

If you've been in the "attraction marketing" industry very long you know I do things quite a bit differently than my peers.  But that doesn't mean they can't teach you A TON that I can't.
 
I once studied how to use psychology and "emotional triggers" to elicit a certain response from people.  We studied this in business school, psychology and journalism (where I focused on advertising).
 
I hated the idea of it.
 
I actually left the University of Oregon my Senior year (this is almost 20 years ago) because I loathed the thought of it... I loathed the idea of even participating in capitalism altogether because all I saw was a system out to influence others for their own personal gain with little concern for the long term consequences (I still see this in the pharmaceutical and food industries, among politics and other big markets).
 
But somewhere along the way, I realized I could use what I learned to HELP others.  I realized that if I didn't, I would have very little influence and could make very little difference.
 
So I jumped into business and marketing with both feet.  And most of you know my story afterward.  Millions produced by helping people get what they want. 
 
But if I didn't understand how to move large groups of people into action nothing would happen.  My training wouldn't be watched and thousands of people would be doing something very different in their lives than they are now.
 
I don't teach a lot on using psychology and emotional triggers to create a "buyer's rush."  One person simply cannot teach everything.  You have to dive into other sources.
 
So I'm referring you again to Mark Hoverson and Jonathan Budd who have been a team for quite some time.  They are very effective teachers at this very thing (how to get people excited about doing what you want them to do). 
 
I'm going to trust you are in business for good.

I'd like to focus you today on Mark's video (that's video 2, which you'll see in there). 
 
He's talking about 'creating a buyer's rush' --

We're looking to hire a full-time web designer who is great to work with and wants a long-term position.  Pay will be great and your work environment will be Amazing!

Applicant must be great with CSS, flash (or other animation), logo/graphic design, html, and any other skills related to web development is a plus.

Optimizing the "Boiling Point"

You know the saying, "If you can't take the heat..."

There have been a TON of launches lately.
 
Admittedly, it's been intense lately on me as well... there has been more going on in this industry lately than ever before.
 
I've introduced you to some of the launches over the past two months with a degree of hesitation.
 
I've hesitated because I know it can be distracting.
 
That was a part of what led me to develop Marketing Funnel Mastery --

To help you put everything you're introduced to into perspective as your business matures.
 
If you're committed to taking things to the next level, it's imperative you learn to manage all this information. 
 
There is a way to remain open and 'in tune' with what's happening in your industry without becoming  overwhelmed emotionally. 
 
I feel we are very near to hitting a "boiling point" in this industry--where so much training has been made available but not enough time has passed for people to implement it.
 
I believe the industry is about to hit a major critical mass "tipping point" -- where a surge of new leadership is about to be born (exponentially increasing the value provided in the industry and opening the flood gates to new people entering).  This is great news and is directly connected to all the first-class training and resources made available in the last two years.
 
But there will still be people entering brand new--who will need to start at the beginning.  Stay connected to these resources, such as Renegade Professional, so you can continue helping people at that stage who need it. 
 
Don't lose perspective of what it feels like to be 'brand new' and don't forget that what is basic to you NOW is essential for them.
 
And as this industry continues to evolve stay aware of all the different 'stages' and areas of development needed within someone's funnel -- Marketing Funnel Mastery will help you maintain that perspective.
 
You've likely heard about this new training from Jonathan Budd and Mark Hoverson--about how to create launches
 
If they hadn't offered so much excellent free training content I wouldn't be referring you to this right now.  But if you've started building a list or generating leads, this is some great free content.
 
Their marketing style is much different from mine and I encourage you to keep perspective as you review the material.  They are extremely good at doing what they are teaching you how to do here so be aware of that and learn from it--taking the parts that serve you.
 
Click for some great free training on How To Do Your Own Launches and Create Buzz with your list & audience.  This relates most to the back-end of your funnel but there are things in here that will serve you throughout your entire sales process--mainly watch how they market to you as they are applying exactly what they are teaching.  That's what I love about their style of marketing... learn by seeing what they do.
 
Marketing Funnel Mastery will continue to help you keep it in perspective.  Remember, Class 2 is on June 8th.

Developing Your Front End with More Traffic (A Lot More)...

If you made it onto Class 1 of Marketing Funnel Mastery earlier this month, you know about the "Sweet Spots" in your funnel.

The first "Sweet Spot" is the traffic coming into the front-end of your funnel.  Of course nothing happens without good attention placed here.
 
You have two choices for beefing up this first stage of your funnel:
 
- There's the "content funnel" that is slower but free (blog, social media, etc) and
- The "advertising funnel" that can be fast but has a cost.
 
Many of the people who really excel (like some of the big names you know in the industry) use the advertising funnel and their secret is to sell a low cost information product at the front-end (immediately upon collecting the lead) to break even on the cost.  Then they make their money on the back end as they build their list super fast for free.  Others can't compete with them because they can afford to build their lists quickly... they basically get a free ad budget!
 
If you tried advertising in the past but with using a 'system' or selling some one else's affiliate product on the front-end, that doesn't work (as I've explained in my Marketing Funnel Mastery Class 1).
 
You will do far better offering your own simple free product upfront immediately after collecting the lead (only use affiliate products in your funnel on the back end as I've explained in Marketing Funnel Mastery).  Your product can be quite simple and low cost (e-book, video series, etc).
 
When it comes to learning how to apply this correctly using PPC (Google Adwords) no one can show you how to set up your campaigns better than Mark Hoverson and Jonathan Budd.
 
Their class fits perfectly into the Marketing Funnel Mastery series I've created for you, but theirs is focused entirely on PPC (developing out the first sweet spot area using Google ads-- to beef up the traffic on your front-end).
 
That's why I encourage you to consider this class.
 
It may appear 'spendy' at first--but not at all when you consider what it's teaching you how to do.  This is how you build a big list quickly... this is how the big names in the industry are doing it.
 
While it's framed for those of you in the networking industry, I believe it can be highly profitable for any funnel and any product or business model.
 
Whatever you do, stay focused on develping out those funnels!

Unclog Your Front-End to Sell "A LOT" More On Your Back-End...

For most people PPC can be a terrible walk down 'lose money' lane.
 
But for those who set it up right, it can be a phenomenal way to get TONS of traffic, leads and sales without having to pay a dime upfront (because you break even on the front end of your funnel right after someone fills out your lead capture page!)
 
Mark Hoverson and Jonathan Budd have been 'killing it' on Google Adwords (PPC) for quite a while... always making more money then they spend because they're doing it right!
 
Now they're showing ALL their secrets.
 
This beats any PPC training I've ever bought or seen.
 
I stake my reputation on it.

Optimizing Your Untapped Advantage (applying both funnel types)...
 
You can choose to use one of two funnel types.

(You likely already do ONE of these more than the other)--
 
1. The "Content" Funnel (blog, site, social media)
 
or...
 
2. The "Advertising" Funnel (like PPC on Google Adwords)

Knowing how to use both can super-charge your business, big-time.
 
I've spent the last 2.5 years mainly teaching you the content funnel.
 
The content funnel has treated me well... generating millions through marketing only through content on my blog, emails and through social media--just as we teach in Renegade Professional.
 
If you've focused a lot on the content funnel... you have some BIG advantages
 
(Because people who ONLY focus on PPC often don't learn what it means to provide value--they often don't know how to develop the back-end of their funnel because so much emphasis can be put on capturing the lead they never learn what to do after they have one to fully maximize).
 
The exceptions are the people whose names you know (who often use both)... who are super successful because they've mastered the Ad Funnel and back it up with the Content Funnel.
 
If you've learned the content funnel (with a site, blog, social media)... you're in a fantastic position to dominate with an Ad Funnel very quickly.
 
When you apply some aspects of the Advertising Funnel to build up the #1 entry point of your front-end (getting in more traffic) things can really take off for you!

Remember the underdeveloped "Sweet Spots" we've been talking about?
 
You might remember in Marketing Funnel Mastery, Class 1, I talked about developing  out your "sweet spots" (if you missed that class I gave a quick review in the video here).

The first sweet spot in the funnel is traffic.
 
Adding PPC to your blogging or social media 'content funnel' can have amazing results.

Why I Won't Be Posting a Recording Of Last Night's Historic Event

If you made it on last night's Webinar time, you know what happened.


If you tried to make it on and couldn't that was because it maxed out at 1000 participants and it got a little wild.

Maxing out a Live Webinar was my goal.

But I had no idea how much TROUBLE it would cause!

 
It totally bugged out the system. 
 
Pop-up messages kept coming up on my screen every few seconds saying what I didn't need repeated!
 
One pop-up after another said, "You have Exceeded 1001 participants and someone is trying to join.  Please delete a participant to allow them access."
 
These pop up messages interferred with my presentation and caused many of you to not see some of my early slides.
 
We kept going.  Amazingly, 950 people stayed through the entire webinar (2 hours)... and THAT is unusual... and very kewl.  In the end, we had a rally and judging by the incredible feedback my message was delivered.
 
But... instead of having to do massive editing to create a good recording of the event, I've decided to re-record it ALL.
 
This will delay us having a recording of this historic event posted at MarketingMerge.com as we had planned for early Thursday morning.
 
Instead, it will be more like late Thursday.  I'll let you know once it is up. 
 
I guess maxing out a webinar with 1000 attendees isn't all its cracked up to be.  But... at the same time, it was fun!
 
I truly believe "Marketing Funnel Mastery" will revolutionize the entire industry.  If you were one of the 1000 who attended I think you agree.
 
I'll let you know when the re-make is available.  The first class is free for everyone, but only until Saturday evening.  So look for your email.  This will be a game changer for you.  Just ask one of the 1000 people who made it on.

Filling In the Gaps So What You're Doing Pays "Better"

This is in preparation for the Marketing Funnel Mastery webinar on May 12th...
 
Regardless of what you're doing (or trying to do) to generate leads & sales, it falls into one of two categories....
 
These are:
 
1. The Content Model - This focuses more on using a blog or website, social media, syndication, SEO & online interaction to generate leads and sales.  It's very low cost... so much so people claim it's practically free.
 
Or...
 
2. The Advertising Model - Of course, this model has a cost, such as when using Google PPC or other advertising, along with a lead capture & sales page with lots of need for tracking.  The goal here is to set things up so you make more than you spend immediately.
 
Getting clarity on which model (#1 or #2) you're going to focus on FIRST is the fastest path to success online. 

I'm noticing a lot of people aren't clear about how to set up a proper funnel--they just have vague ideas--so this is going to be my focus in training for a while.

Are you going to build the 1st model (like Katie Freiling & myself), or the 2nd model (like Ann Sieg, Mark Hoverson and Mike Dillard).
 
Some are incorporating both--Mike Dillard is an excellent example of that now with his Better Networker.  But he got his million dollar start mainly with the 2nd model, as did most of the people he taught.
 
There's just no way around it, you need to know what you're trying to do... and be 100% clear about it.  Are you going after #1 or #2?   Then you can design a well-crafted 'marketing funnel' to succeed big.  You can maximize and optimize by seeing the gaps and filling them in. 
 
In the webinar on May 12th I'm going to help you get really clear about these two models... and help you choose which one is best for you based on your current circumstances, preferences and strengths.
 
I'll also send you a video training before the Webinar later this week to get you thinking about some of these things beforehand.
 
I'll continue teaching you model #1, but I'm also going to introduce you soon to Mark Hoverson who has aced the #2 model with Google PPC.  He created a PPC training with Jonathan Budd that's like no other.  Their training has helped a lot of people reach big six figure levels really quickly, and that's why I'm going to introduce you to him.
 
Whichever model you choose, #1 or #2, I'm going to be teaching you through Marketing Funnel Mastery how to put the pieces together so that whatever you choose to do, and whatever resources or tools you choose to use, you know how to make it cash-flow.
