How Blogs Bring Prospects: Using Social Web 2.0 Marketing with Blogs to Build Big on a String-Shoe Budget

Using Blogs can be a powerful way to generate traffic to your lead capture pages or web site.  This, in turn, increases the number of people joining your prospects list or buying the products you recommend.

But Blogs are only one of six Social marketing categories.  In our Marketing Merge Professional Training area, we cover these six categories and show how Blogs work with the other no and low cost strategies to create a synergistic effect.  This boosts your blog's exposure exponentially.

The six categories of social marketing that you want to get working together are:

1. Content Sharing (ex:  Squidoo)

2. Articles (ex: Ezine Articles)

3. Book marking (ex: Digg)

4. Social Sites (ex: MySpace)

5. Blogs (such as what you're looking at right now)

6. Video Sharing (ex: YouTube)

There are many social marketing sites (thousands of them) that fall into each of these six categories.  We teach how to use the most effective ones, and how to use necessary marketing tools to leverage those social sites for bigger results.

For example, in the case of Book marking, there are hundreds of locations where you can bookmark your blog articles in order to get higher ranking in the search engines.  But this can be time consuming if you're doing them one at a time.

It's a good strategy to bookmark your blog articles because the search engines rank sites and articles higher (so more people will find you) if they believe your content is popular.  By book marking your own articles (as long as you do it properly so you're not considered a spammer and banned) you can give your blog tons of exposure.

One tool you can use is Social Marker to systematically bookmark your articles and sites more quickly.

At the Marketing Merge Professional training area, we walk you step-by-step through setting up your 6 social marketing categories and then show you how to get them working together to get tons more exposure, which means tons more prospects... and tons of business.

Hello Mike,

I am a member of the marketing merge network. Although I still have a tremendous amount to learn from you on Renegade Professional. I always seem to learn some valuable & insightful information on your blog as well.

For instance, I am getting closer to the 24 pieces of internet content, I starting to get a gradual increase in traffic, however I have only gotton one new associate. So, I know that I have a great deal of work ahead of me, especially when it comes to SEO of my current content.

There are just so many options for creating and setting up a blog - it can be as simple or as sophisticated as you want it. Doesn't matter which, that's a personal preference.

But if you're just getting started, the key to blogging success is to know who you want your blog to be for - which audience to you think it will serve best based upon what you offer; the kinds of discussions you inspire and the community that you network with.

Inside your Renegade Professional back office are entire suites of tutorials on how to blog, and that includes setting up a blog just like this one that Mike has created, or using another platform called WordPress.

It doesn't have to be hard, and it doesn't have to take long.

I'm offering a bonus to anyone who signs up with me at Renegade and wants a little extra help - 5 hours worth of coaching, and specifically, we'll cover setting up your own blog.

I can be your Guide to help you minimize the overwhelm and distraction by assisting you with a targeted and pin-pointed use of Renegade Professional, which will maximize your time and bring you to monetization much sooner.

I call this the "3 M" Formula, and you can learn more about that today -> Renegade Professional Bonus

Blogs are indeed a great tool to boost the popularity of your sites. Many bloggers can attest to the wonders the blogs could do that increased the traffic to their site. It's just a matter of creating that perfect blog that would catch a lot of people's attention.
