A Powerful Example of the Kind of Content That Will Change Your Business Forever
Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 08:52AM I'm about to share something extremely powerful and effective with you.
But first let me get something VERY important out of the way...
When I share examples like the one I'm about to share with you, that's all it is: an example. You have to learn to apply the principles of what I'm teaching to YOUR business model.
If you're new to attraction marketing, you have to be patient as you discover what YOUR business model is really going to be all about--including who and how you will attract your niche target market and prospects (while you're figuring this out, you have to take action along the way... or you'll never get anywhere).
Eric Walker Interviews Barbara Silva About Attraction Marketing
We often discuss creating written content, to build your 'web of content' so people can find you on the web. However, there are other forms of content you can create, based on all the same things we've been teaching you. One of these we've discussed before and have training on how to do in your Professional back office is 'Video.'
But what about Audio?
Eric recorded an interview with Barbara Silva -- Click to Listen to Eric interview Barbara about How Renegade Professional Changed Barbara's Business forever.
There is so much you can learn from Eric's interview with Barbara it's amazing.
I can't even begin to get into all the aspects of it here today, but I'll get you close enough to start thinking how you might apply this to what you're doing and we can revisit this again in the future.
In this recorded telephone interview, Eric talks with Barbara about how Renegade Professional helped her take what she learned from the Renegade Network Marketer and apply it online in reality.
But it's not this particular topic I'd like you to focus your attention upon. While this is a great topic for Eric's business model (as he is attracting clients to train one-on-one for his consultation business) this particular topic may not be what you want to put out there. If you're in the nutritional business you want to create completely different content. But what?
Following the example of someone wanting to attract prospects interested in buying nutrition prospects, you could set up interviews each week (or month) with authors of nutritional books, as just one example. Or, with scientists and professionals that endorse your company.
You could then create two versions of the recorded interviews. One could promote you at the end (giving a link to your blog or a lead capture page, etc)... and the other version can just provide the value without a self promotion pitch at the end of it. Why create this second version without a pitch? Because then your company and fellow downline, upline, crossline, or others in the industry will put this audio recording on their blogs, sites, and send it to their email lists you see--and that can create tens if not hundreds of thousands of exposures to your name, causing people to look you up and hunt you down.
If you want to attract leads to your network marketing business specifically, interview your CEO, or your upline, or a successful cross line.
Such an audio interview (or a series) can attract a ton of people to you in that company, that you could choose to consult with for a fee (to help you sustain yourself in business). What would you consult with them about--how about charging them $25-$100 an hour for assisting them in setting up a blog of their own, or their own lead capture pages, etc... using the Professional training area at Marketing Merge as your curriculum--we have students doing just that!
Or, if you don't want to spend time working as a consultant, use your content to create a lead capture page and attract leads with it... people looking for more info on your specific company and opportunity. Using Google adwords or the free SEO methods we teach in Professional, you can attract the hottest business opportunity leads imaginable, people looking specifically for YOUR opportunity.
If you interview success people in your company--and perhaps other successful network marketers as well, this automatically makes you look like a professional and leader yourself. If you create two versions, like I mentioned above--one that promotes you and another that doesn't, you'll have lots of other people (perhaps even your own company) promoting your content all over the place, which will lead a lot of people to you as they go searching for you online.
These are some powerful ideas on how to apply the same strategies to your business, just as Eric did here with interviewing Barbara.
I'll follow up on this going forward but this should be enough to get your wheels turning!

Mike Klingler

Another great interview about Barbara:

and her wonderful weekend training with Robert Kiyosaki.
Under the "discussions" on this same blog you can post about your blog in 140 characters.

I love the process of promting people who are working this business the way Barbara is. Such a sweet person.
On this topic of creating content, I'll elaborate on what Angela did. She and I were messaging over Facebook. Since my family was not able to attend the Kiyosaki event with me, I was grateful to have an "internet pal" willing to hear the day to day account of what I was learning.
Angela simply took our email conversation and put it into interview form. Her content practically wrote itself. This is another example of how you can take advantage of the things already in place and turn out great content!
I enjoyed learning more about Barbara, as I had seen her 4 minute video she referred to in the interview. It was amazing to learn how successful that short video was. Thanks Eric, Barbara and Mike.

Very nicely written article as always
I think I can take this information and use it as a nice branding tool. I listened the the Eric / Barbara interview, it went well. More than that I pay attention to how it is being marketed by people other than them after it is completed and published online.
Very nice how the Renegade Marketers stick together in marketing for each other.
I am brainstorming and I think interviews might be in my future on a podcast channel and I will blast it out to multiple with Traffic Geyser.
Thanks for the Great ideas.
