Video Marketing Tutorials Update - Professional Members
Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 02:07PM Quick update on video marketing tutorials in the Marketing Merge Professional back office.
As you probably know, video marketing can be one of the most powerful methods to generate leads.
Before I can really get into the marketing side of video in depth, we wanted to get you familiar with the basics.
The basics are:
Shooting a video of your own.
Loading it up onto your computer
Then, loading it up onto the Internet
If you are using the Flip camera our tutorials have gotten you this far. However, we ran into a snag when we went to teach you how to get the regular digital camera's video up on the net.
I use Camtasia software to produce my videos. In simple terms to 'produce videos' means to basically get them ready to load to the Internet... but Camtasia cost some money.
While it has its advantages and we're going to teach you how and why you may want to use Camtasia--we wanted to first offer a free solution. Most of you have free software on your computer already from Microsoft (if you have a PC) so it makes sense to show you how to use that first...
But I don't use the free software so we had to bring in some help so you didn't have to go buy something else if you didn't want to--just to take the next step with video.
So we've brought in Lane Romero-Reiss who is very adept at using the free software option to produce his videos. He also creates some great videos of his own for his own marketing. That's how we spotted him.
Lane will be the one teaching those of you without a Flip camera how to take the video you shoot with your regular digital and get it ready to load up to the Internet... using the free software.
You'll now find this tutorial under Phase II in the Video Marketing section of your professional back office (social marketing area). It's called, "Windows Movie Maker Training"
Lane may update this to simplify it a bit more soon, but it's there for you now if you're eager to move forward on this right away.
If you're using the Flip camera you don't need this particular training.
Also note we'll be showing you a lot more on how to produce your videos.
Once you get this technical stuff out of the way we'll move into marketing your videos on a large scale, as well as how to conduct yourself.
Much of what we're teaching you in all the other Web 2.0 training still applies, but there are some unique tips and things to know to get tremendous mileage out of video. Most people who use video in their marketing aren't using a fraction of its potental.
Oh, and by the way... if you've been focusing on creating a web of content with Squidoo, Hub, Blog, etc... you are light years ahead of most who use video. If you add video to an already started web of written content, you'll get 100 fold the results.
I've been teaching the community how to do the hard work that HAS to be done (that everyone tries to avoid) FIRST-- so you have a solid foundation to leverage indefinitely
