Twitter Changes
Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 03:33PM I recieved this by email from Cyndi Williams about some recent changes Twitter has made. If you're fairly new to using Twitter and are unsure what all this means, don't sweat it! Keep using Twitter.
Hi Ann & Mike,
I don't know if you knew about this or not, but yesterday
Twitter mad a change to their programming that affected people's
ability to see @replies between other Tweeps.
Here's what they did: If you were following me, and I was
following Candace but you weren't following Candace, you are
unable to see any Tweets that I send to Candace that start with
@candacesusername... Their programming change made it where the
Twitter users were only able to see @replies between two people
that they also follow, in essence eliminating the ability to use
@replies to discover new people to follow.
Here's Twitter's reply this morning:

The reason I am sharing this is that it might come up in you
Twitter Power Hour tonight, and just I wanted you to be "in the
know". ;-)
Happy Thursday!
Cyndi

Nice! Something else to make our lives a little more difficult. Why don't they limit us to 10 tweets a week? Ok, that was a bad joke.
Hi John, I enjoyed your joke ;-)
And I am reminded of a statement from Napoleon Hill, "In every adversity there is a seed for an equal or greater benefit."
There are more benefits to this than disadvantages if we seek them! I have some ideas but short on time...so I'll refer you to the 90 day check list where I cover this topic many times!
Make change your friend, leverage the news--seek ways of learning something and teaching it... give! Most important, have fun everyone!
Mike
Twitter is an amazing tool, and whatever changes they make, it will still be very useful in building relationships with our followers. We are so lucky to have all these free tools we can use!!
It the twitter hour a set time and day ?
This is an email that I am going to send as many places as I can think could finally bring some action to the ongoing problem I have had.
On 9/29 I found a program (outside of RPBM) that I wanted very much to do—a challenge in article marketing—but I needed a Word Press blog. I set about to arrive at that point by using the video tutorials of Steve Anderson in MM. I knew next to nothing about blogs or blog-building, but things went pretty well through the first 5-6 tutorials. I got my domain and my Hostgator account and redirected my name servers; I created an email account and installed Word Press—and liberally used Hostgator “chat” to understand things. Then I moved on to learn something about my dashboard. When my page heading turned up uncentered—no clues, but Hostgator telling me it was Word Press’ problem—I deleted and back-tracked to where I had installed WP. This solved my problem; it meant a lot of repetition, but I was learning a lot. I installed a theme—and later changed it to one I thought served me better and began adding all the plugins that Steve recommended (plus the ones others recommended for the article marketing challenge). All but 3-4 plugins added, installed and activated with ease. Then came the problem ones to add and the additional problems when Steve went back over each plugin “configuring” and making them functional. I tried to get help from RP support; the first two times Deborah Tutnauer was sent to aid me—but she admittedly knew nothing about building a Word Press blog and told me she had hired her own built. . . .Then I came to a place in configuring where the pages that Steve presented were not the same the pages I was getting. . . .On my third attempt for support here I got an email from LeeAnn saying, “please note that the help you are requesting goes above and beyond the realm of our support desk” . . . .And her alternative recommendations were (1) marketingmergenetwork. . (2) Renegade Professional Guide Community . . . and then (3) a full rundown on how to buy credits and pay more hard-to-come-by additional money to arrive at my desired point (I guess, “any way to pull in the extra bucks”. . . . I called Eric to ask him for info on contacting Steve because I knew he had some contact with him. Eric’s replay said he couldn’t do that and he tried to redirect me to “do fun things” and settle for a blog like his (blogspot)(that’s not what I needed). . . Next, I googled Steve Anderson; reached him at http://easy-renegade.com/contact with a special place to email right there on the web. . . . Then a contact with Carolin tells me he’s on vacation.
I realize that I came into RPBM with a tremendous amount of hype. I also realize that I paid dearly (budget-wise). I think I am entitled to help with getting my blog up a la Steve Anderson without having to pay out more money to attain my goal. Even shelling out more money, what guarantee do I have that you have a coach that’s really abreast of Steve’s teachings?
It's good to here that from twitter and you even if it's a little bit late.. Twitter made it's way to marketing and a lot of people are using it. This is just a good thing to control people...
