I have to admit, that honestly, I never put much into 'coaching' and felt a bit like it was a made up profession. After listening to Barbara, I realize how a perception moves one forward or NOT! As I listened to the call, I felt like the OPW. Over the past 16 months, Barbara has been an encouragement to me at different levels.

Learning the skill of listening effectively is a something that I certainly look forward to developing.

I know how easy it is to mix up the messages being sent and received. How important it is to stay in context and clarify.

Silence while someone is speaking to me is a gift and measure of respect I will work hard to practice in my home and workspace. I do have difficulty with that. I want to allow space to allow the expression of true feelings better. I want to show people I live and work with that I really care. Someone did that for me this past week in a moment of difficulty and it was precious..

Barbara, I'll be relistening to this often. Already there are great gems of wisdom in even this intro class.

Watched the webinar tonight...and all I can say is Wow, Wow, Wow...what a vision...I know about accreditation and all the documentation, procedures, and excellent training that must be in place...it's an exhilarating experience but well worth it to get the credentials. Wonderful :)

Another excellent webinar last night!

There's just something about hearing great ideas presented in a positive and forthright fashion that is both compelling and ... moving.

I'll quickly agree that I've learned much from Barbara already. But as important as a quality leader is, it's the synergy and exponential growth they inspire in their team and those they attract to themselves that represents their true impact and legacy.
I learn from every single coach that contributes in the training sessions ... and they all contribute! That's Barbara's proof of performance.

Mike Klingler captured this same idea when he recognized Barbara as both a talented teacher and a powerful leader during his wrap-up last night.

I just wanted to share a little of my personal experience with Coaching Cognition for anyone that is on the fence and unsure about whether this is the right skill set to be learning or the right group to be learning from.
