Becoming A Paid Coach, Or Maybe... Just An Amazingly Valuable & Influential Person

When I was in a networking business I did a TON of prospecting on the telephone.
 
I had to deal with a lot of prospects who were VERY challenging to work with. 
 
I remember my early years--
 
Talk about frustration!
 
Many of them had no money.
 
Others had unrealistic expectations.
 
Some were just down right depressed. 
 
Others hostile. 
 
Some would talk and talk and talk...
Some were distracted.
 
Some were really kind people but totally feared change.
 
Others only needed a nudge. For me to ask one good question that ended up leading them forward THANKING me for the dramatic impact it had on them it.  Wow.
 
I learned the hard way--and the long way--how to positively influence people; how to change the way they think about things by helping them discover the answers for themselves.
 
As you know, with Barbara Silva's Coaching Cognition training soon opening up, you'll be able to learn these skills head on, in a safe environment and quickly. 
 
Instead of it taking years it can be learned in months.
 
These skills will assist you in nearly every interaction you have (in your business AND personal life).
 
They'll assist you in understanding people in general (helping you in all forms of communication, including emails and copy), and how to lead people to action (key).
 
They'll assist you in your confidence, competence and how your marketing comes across.
 
Obviously, they will assist you in succeeding by addressing the "essential list" we've talked about over these last two weeks.
 
A Safe Environment To Learn To Lead
 
Just one of the valuable aspects of Coaching Cognition is live role playing. 
 
You'll have lots of opportunities to participate in the LIVE role playing--
 
This alone can be life-changing... because it's where you learn some of the 'finer distinctions' (AKA, developing a "keen insight"--the first item on the 'essential list').
 
It may sound scary at first; but in this environment it's actually quite safe and fun--no one is ever put on the spot.  
 
Role playing is an extremely important part of learning at a fast pace.  Because it gives a type of "accelerated experience." 
 
Here's why it's accelerated...
 
The Impact of a "Real Life" Role Playing Session
 
When role playing, one "coach in training" will pretend to be a challenging prospect or client.  The other 'coach in training' will pretend to be the Coach. 
 
Interactive discussions among the students and Barbara help the Coaches pinpoint key moments in the conversation where it could move forward, or fall flat.
 
Ever had a conversation with a prospect or client fall flat or go south when you wanted it to go north?
 
Imagine holding a compass that you could use during any given conversation and always knowing where north is (moving toward their goals positively).
 
And whenever your prospect or client goes the wrong direction you're able to ask a question to get them to realize ON THEIR OWN how to correct course so they can achieve what it is they want faster.
 
You'll have "Influence" with such a skill.
 
Through role playing with Barbara and the other students, you'll learn to recognize patterns in conversation and what to do to build bridges that lead it forward constructively. 
 
The power comes by learning to recognize the patterns and 'own' the questions that definitively lead someone forward. 
 
One of the role playing sessions I listened to was between Eric Walker and Claire Covington--they were in the first Coaching Cognition training course offered by Barbara.
 
Here, Eric Walker role plays as the client and pretends to have just signed up in a new opportunity and has very "Unrealistic Expectations."
 
Claire Covington pretends to be the Coach.
 
They then discuss the pivotal moments in the conversation where it could go north or 'south' and this is when you pick up the skills.

You'll have access to the recordings of this very role playing session with Claire and Eric, along with many more from the first students who have now graduated from Coaching Cognition. 
 
AND, of course... you'll be able to have 'accelerated experience' of your own by partaking in the new LIVE sessions offered.

We'll be opening this to new students for a limited time in early October. 
 
After that, you'll have to wait until next year to become a coach with us again.

Whenever I have the opportunity to learn new skills that will bring me value and to others, I move heaven and earth to make it happen.
Barbara's Coaching Cognition course fits in nicely with that criteria. I'm really looking forward to it. The added bonus is that I can look forward to even getting paid for it one day by offering my services to Marketing Merge. How great is that?

As a Coaching Cognition coach, I've already experienced, and continue to experience, how role-playing can fine-tune coaching skills so that the client receives our best.
The role-play training allows for peer coaches to guide you thru the best way to direct a client over some pretty rocky paths! By the time you get to the client, or your spouse, family or friends, you have the ability to impact lives...and that's powerful!
I'm so thankful to be a part of this experience. When you change the way you communicate with others, you change everything.

I am so priviledged to know that my name is on the list for Coaching Cognition. I listened to both Claire's and Eric's comments on their experience with the beta phase of this program. I know that their lives are forever changed.
Eric coached me for a season and I can vouch for his very targeted, yet intuitive ability to get to the core of the matter. Eric was able, because of the skills he acquired in Coaching Cognition to zero in on the central area of development need.
I look forward to participating, growing as a person and business owner.

I'd like to reiterate two things from this post, because they are very powerful.

First, Coaching is a life skill. Before I started in the training sessions with Barbara for Coaching Cognition, I thought coaching was a business skill. It is a business skill and an important one, at least I got that part right.

Coaching is a life skill that immediately had a positive impact for me outside business. The impact on how I am able to interact with and communicate with others, especially family. I've got three beautiful, strong-willed, daughters; any time I can learn to communicate more effectively ... that's a big deal!

Second, role-playing is a great learning accelerator. It's done is such a 'safe place' that it's easy to participate in the group discussion. I learned so much from the role-play activities, whether I had one of the roles in the group setting or not. The same is true for the one-on-one role-play with my peer coach.

I'm happy that I was in the first group - I got so much out of it - and am looking forward to interacting with the other coaches coming up.

How Much You Make is Also Tied to This... (Relaxed Intensity)

It's not necessarily about how hard you work, you have to work hard tho.

But I realized early early on that when I was working so hard and thinking I SHOULD be making money just because of hard work alone - I was actually hindering my progress.

Here's why.

I wasn't focused on offering value and communicating that value to a targeted group of prospects and market segments.

I had to learn how to communicate that value better - rather than write tired articles or awkward videos that looked like every other person.

Yet, for the majority, there really is no other way to learn how to create value other than continuous attempts at creating content that is valuable.

But beware, that doesn't create influence, yet Be Aware! that leads to something BIG - a "grand opus" if you will where everything you do and everything you offer leads to that grand opus. It's like climbing the mountain and reaching the top.

That's how influence can be attained.

Just to repeat, I HAD (and so do you) to write those articles and make those videos to get to a place where I felt comfortable with understanding the process of creating value and wielding influence.

**I also had to find coaching ... Most do, and if you don't the odds of success are greatly diminished.

**And I had to talk to my fiance on the pillow night after night ... that is both coaching and communication.

**I had to take thorough advantage of my interactions with Mike back when they were few and far between. I knew that whenever we got on the phone I had to both listen and communicate my needs in such a way and in a short amount of time. I had to be ready to do that and the only way to be ready to do that is to always be taking the pulse of your growth and communication skills.

And then I had to continue writing those tired articles and make more awkward videos.

And all the while, I had to continue to be absolutely vigilant about following through and finishing strong.

Sound intense? It is ... BUT it's also relaxed, Jeffrey Combs "Relaxed Intensity."

Doing all of these things will put you in a developmental process continuum and you'll have to stop every so often and reflect...what's next?

During these mini-periods of reflection between bursts of productivity
and focus on training, I ALWAYS sought after a coach, and I was always seeking to communicate.

I think you have to.

I ALWAYS sought to bring my fiance on board with what I was doing.

One of the worst things you can do is to live in a vaccum. Doing so
stunts your ability to communicate.

If you aren't talking to people, you aren't doing one of the most important things that creates success - that's communicating.

Amazing Value

I am not a coach...yet. But, I have been coached and all I can say is, wow, what an amazing benefit it has been for my overall focus on where I want to go in my business life. I haven't explored it for my personal life, but...

I just want to send out a huge "thank you" to my coach and to Barbara Silva for putting together this amazing program. This will be so helpful to so many people. I know it first hand.

My goals are to be moving toward financial independence in internet marketer, I need all the help I can get. The Coaching Cognition program gives me the opportunity to be coached and coach others in areas of strengths that I can develop. I have seen already seen others grow as results of the program.
