Webinar Fails But Content Over Delivers (A+) -- Watch Below

Scroll down the page to watch the recorded training. It's called "Attraction Marketing Starts Here - What You Need to Put in Place." Great content for Smart Beginners.
-----------------------------------------------------------

There was supposed to be a webinar tonight for Smart Beginners who are about to upgrade to Renegade Professional, or those who just recently upgraded to Renegade Professional.

"Supposed" to be a webinar, but things didn't go according to plan. This often happens in business, and in life.

When the webinar software kept booting us off the line, and things wouldn't start properly, I felt like that guy in the parking lot whose car wouldn't start.

You know the guy.

He's the one with frustrated eyes, and fumes pluming out his ears. You can see him behind his windshield mumbling to himself as the engine groans its last groans like a West Virginia coal miner whose smoked too many Pall Malls.

Son of a Pickle!

Our scheduled webinar never started tonight.

After 20 minutes of "cranking that engine," it was futile. The engine wouldn't turn over.

(::insert game show buzzer::)

---------------------------
What Happened?
---------------------------

I think I have to take the blame on this one.

Here's why:

1. I didn't realize that there was another webinar scheduled (at the same time)with our Goto Webinar account.

2. Apparently, you can't run two webinars at the same time.

Although, because of #1, I learned #2.

In hindsight, I should have looked through ALL of our webinars (we host quite a few webinars) to see if there was any overlap. If so, I would have caught that there might have been an issue.

Tough lesson to learn. Now I know. I apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.

--------------------------------
The Lesson
--------------------------------

I could have gone to bed -- defeated. I could have pitied myself, or blamed someone else. I could have said "I could have" for the rest of the night.

I could have thrown my laptop out the window (you know the feeling).

Instead...I took a deep breath.

I came up with a plan, quickly implemented the plan, and I'll get to go to bed peaceful.

I'll get to go to bed knowing that I wasn't a victim of my own circumstance. I'll go to bed knowing that instead of a bunch of people getting stood up for a webinar tonight, that they are going to wake up tomorrow morning, open their inbox and see this email with a link to the recorded training that was supposed to be a webinar.

And...the entire Renegade University and Professional will also get to see it too.

Often times in business and life, if a bad thing happens, a good thing will come of it.

I believe in that (and you should too).

Below you'll find top notch A+ content. I encourage you to watch it if you're having a hard time making attraction marketing work for you.

---------------------------
The Recovery Plan
---------------------------

Coach always taught me to brush it off, take a deep breath, and jump back in the batter’s box.

I’m baaaaaccck.

Didn't miss a beat.

I decided to record the webinar we were supposed to have, and give it away to the entire community.

The show must go on, right?!

Everything that you were expecting to receive as a result of registering for the webinar, Attraction Marketing Starts Here – What You Need to Have in Place, will be delivered.

This is solid, free, pure value-based content (and worth every penny).

Watch the Recorded "Supposed-to-Be" Webinar, Or Go Here for Bigger Video:

When finished, leave a comment. Tell us what you thought, how it helped you, and what you'd like to see more of in the future.

We'll be doing more and more of these webinars in the weeks and months ahead. Stay posted.

I was ready, Eric. Made my husband drudge through the snow, in the dark, at -20C, to start beast #2 for your webinar. Thought my satellite was sick when couldn't connect.

So glad to hear the problem wasn't from my end. Will gladly watch the webinar today. Although your ball may have fallen flat on it's ear last night, good recovery today.

Thanks a mil for setting this up.

Eric, The recorded Webenair was LOADED, and the comment about takeing time
to learn, was encourageing since I stuggel with wanting to jump and get fast results.
Me being at mature age (some might say old at 76) am wishing I could get a larger
and clearer visone of the slides showen on trainings. Maybe a new monitor for my
computor! But I am very inpressed of the mass amount of traing that is available
through the Renegade System. I have been involved in 8 MLM's in my life, and none
of them could get within smelling distance of what's available here.

Thanks for shareing your smarts! Mark S.

Hi there. I tried desparately to get into the Webinar last night, and so very appreciative of the time you took to do this video tutorial for us.

I am brand new, so actually this probably helped me more than ever to have it this way, as it gave me time to multi-task around here and there, all the while clicking play when I needed to repeat something I knew would be important to remember.

Again, loved it, learned a lot, and thank you!

@Marie Leonard,

I think that BEAST #2 is much more dependable than my technical skills - lol. I am so sorry that you had to tredge outside in the minus 20 degree temps to brave a failed webinar. The best laid plans...

I DO think you will find the webinar helpful for your smart beginning Renegade University students who still need to see the entire picture of what is possible with the Renegade Professional training. That was the intention...

Thanks Marie,

Eric Walker

@Mark Dietz,

I understand what you mean about the video screen being smaller for one's eyes. Go ahead and head over to Renegade Professional News [dot] com for a larger picture.

Scroll down the page a little and the video will be much larger.

Thanks for your patience. I'm pleased to hear that after many years of MLM that you are finding such great value here at Renegade University/Professional.

More where that came from. DO stick around and continue to comment at the blogs. It's a sure-fire way to get your name out there and to network with other people (like me).

Many thanks for doing the webinar Eric. You really broke things down into bite sized pieces and showed how the pieces fit together. And many thanks for sharing my story as well. Much appreciated:)

Eric,
Great job and overview - you really brought out the benefits. Way to get back in the batter's box and knock one out of the park.

Excellent site, Cindy!

@Jill,

Welcome to the Renegade Professional community. We're delighted that you've chosen us.

I appreciate your flexibility with the webinar situation and glad it worked out for you.

I highly recommend plugging into our blogs --> Here and at Renegade Professional News. Especially the News. We do a lot over there. And when I say "plugging" in I mean to say that it's a good place to network with other Renegade Professionals who are going through the training. It's a supportive community.

However I can be of assistance, let me know. I'm sort of a Renegade of all trades so I can direct you in the right directions based upon your needs.

There is a lot of diversity in our community and the reason for that is because the Renegade Professional training lends itself to any business. All you need to bring is your "hustle juice" and the passion you have for what you do.

Thanks again,

Eric Walker

@Cindy & Michael,

Thank you. I noticed you were both registered for the webinar.

@Cindy - Big congratulations on developing your own product. It just amazes me how for an year you were following the RPro Training, and became a pilot coach for Coaching Cognition -- just building up your foundation.

But I know that you, like so many others, struggled with aligning your business with your passion.

But unlike many others, you stuck with it, kept after it, and whamo! Through the process of "doing it" you made that discovery. That is a crowning achievement.

Then you developed your own product, created two new websites and continue to laser focus your coaching on helping others find their niche (their business).

Awesome! Those stories have to be shared because it's quintessential that people see the realities of success. We as a society are not necessarily programmed to just step into the internet and create a thriving business. It wouldn't happen offline, and it doesn't happen online.

Although the gate keepers, the barriers and the expense is FAR FAR less on the internet. That's why this is so attractive in the first place.

And Renegade Professional shows you how to set up your marketing and get it started. The fascinating part about your story is that you said--

"In one month your list grew bigger than a previous year."

This is because you had gone through the training. So that once you knew what your niche was (what your business model was going to be), all you had to do is put the marketing pieces together, set up the content and BOOM! List building and monetization in 30 days.

I'm not sure that everyone understands the power of that reality... So part of the point of my webinar last night was to communicate that. You are such a great example. Thank YOU.

It is definitely a matter of perseverance Eric, but I know my progress would have been so much faster if I had a coach to work with. I'm not just saying that to promote Coaching Cognition, it's the absolute truth.

I look at the clients I work with and am amazed at how much progress we make in just a few sessions. If I had had someone to work with and help me stay focused, strategic and accountable, then I would have saved so much time.

I'm not complaining though because the journey has been amazing. I'm just grateful that Coaching Cognition is in place now so others can benefit.

Hi Eric
Some wonderful gems here and great tips. Being in Renegade Professional for quite awhile now I still discovered some wonderful nuggets that you shared.

I could relate to finnding your passion and your inner brand which is what I am working on at present and you shared some great tips to help me dig even deeper.

I think everyone should listen to this because there is so much valuable information here.
Thank You Eric

@Rosemary Leach,

You are a great example of someone who is keeping after it. I know you've been developing and going through the often laborious process of digging inward to align your business with your values (and passion).

And just like Cindy, as you do, and this continues to unfold, because of the Renegade Professional training you continue to plug into, you'll find that suddenly you too have more business in one month than that of the previous year.

Great! Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Eric,
I was relieved that the problem with the webinar wasn't at my end! What a huge bonus we got for your error! Your webinar has inspired me again - I did need a boost. And I have a coaching session lined up with Cindy tomorrow - so this webinar will be fresh in my mind. Thanks a heap for your enthusiastic, clear and concise webinar.

February 12, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterHelen Wenley

Hi Eric,

Well what can I say? The webinar was worth waiting for! What an amazing amount of valuable information you provided today. I feel so much more empowered now. Amazingly, this morning I was feeling quite the opposite!

I actually forwarded this morning's e-mail to a couple of friends who have been struggling to make their marketing efforts come to fruition (as have I, by the way!). I really hope they have taken the time to listen to the webinar. Somehow it pieced together all the bits and pieces that make up Renegade Marketing.

You talked about passion. I understand passion. As a former teacher, it's something I have tried to teach students about over the years, especially when writing. You can't write without passion. But it wasn't until close to the end of the webinar when you brought up the last two blogs and clarified what can happen in a blog, that my 'passion' light bulb was turned on! I now have a much clearer picture of what this is all about. Moreover, I have the courage and determination to succeed.

Thankyou once again Eric.

Hey Eric, you know one of the most important traits of all successful entrepreneurs is being able to think on your feet and make quick decisions.

I loved the way you layed out the scenario of what you did when confronted this problem. Because a problem is nothing more than an opportunity. No need to panic just cool as a cucumber.

Great Webnar by the way, I really enjoyed the section on Internal/External branding because so many people have a hard time figuring this one out when first starting in business.

To all you smart beginners, no need to go anywhere else Renegade Professional is the place to be. Develop a plan and stay consistent, everything you need is right in your back office.

Good recovery, Eric. Thanks for responding so quickly to our disappointment of not being able to get on the live webinar. This may have been even better since it allowed me to go at my own pace, take notes, back up when I needed to, etc. Your enthusiasm is contagious. After the Live Event in Portland, I'm digging into RPro again with a sharper pick and shovel motivated in part by your admonition to "own it."

This was a great overview of the whole attraction marketing process. I need frequent glimpses of the big picture as I work my way through the nitty-gritty.

@Helen Wenley, Maria Rattray and Bob Young--

Your comments are what drives me. I'm SO glad that this reached your inbox and you were able to pick up the pieces with me. Thank you.

I just want to add that as a you are building out your online business there is ONE ingredient that makes all the difference, and it's one of a few core reasons why Renegade Professional has been successful (and I didn't mention this in the webinar)... You know what it is?

It's Care. Care about the customer; Care about the community. That's all I could think about as the webinar failed to launch. I honestly Care about these people, and I HAVE to deliver.

To receive your comments above brings it all home -- home to the heart.

Thanks you, and you're welcome.

Hi, Eric-

Thanks for doing this. I was very disappointed when I couldn't get the webinar to work, but I had faith that if the problem was on your end you would find a way to give us the content, anyway. You did, and it was a very reassuring and value-rich presentation, so in the spirit of everything I've found here at Renegade Professional.

I realize that you all understand and value trust, and you go out of your way to create and maintain it. That means a lot to me. More than anything you said, although all of it was right on point, it was the "a-ha" moment I had when I realized that I had come to trust your intentions...I actually felt sure to the point of knowing that you would come through if you said you would, and whatever it was would be valuable to me and my business. When it was, and everything that I thought and expected was verified, something important dropped into place. Thanks, I needed that.

@Laurel Underwood,

You are very welcome. Thank you SO much for your kind words. I'm impressed that you communicate so well your aha moment. Even more in awe that THAT was what your "take away" was from the recorded webinar. You process information at an advanced level - nice. Says a lot for your business instincts too :-)

We will continue to operate in the spirit of value, trust and care (best business model there is no matter what your business is).

Thanks again.
