There Are Some Things I May Never Teach You...
Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 05:44PM If you've been in the "attraction marketing" industry very long you know I do things quite a bit differently than my peers. But that doesn't mean they can't teach you A TON that I can't.
I once studied how to use psychology and "emotional triggers" to elicit a certain response from people. We studied this in business school, psychology and journalism (where I focused on advertising).
I hated the idea of it.
I actually left the University of Oregon my Senior year (this is almost 20 years ago) because I loathed the thought of it... I loathed the idea of even participating in capitalism altogether because all I saw was a system out to influence others for their own personal gain with little concern for the long term consequences (I still see this in the pharmaceutical and food industries, among politics and other big markets).
But somewhere along the way, I realized I could use what I learned to HELP others. I realized that if I didn't, I would have very little influence and could make very little difference.
So I jumped into business and marketing with both feet. And most of you know my story afterward. Millions produced by helping people get what they want.
But if I didn't understand how to move large groups of people into action nothing would happen. My training wouldn't be watched and thousands of people would be doing something very different in their lives than they are now.
I don't teach a lot on using psychology and emotional triggers to create a "buyer's rush." One person simply cannot teach everything. You have to dive into other sources.
So I'm referring you again to Mark Hoverson and Jonathan Budd who have been a team for quite some time. They are very effective teachers at this very thing (how to get people excited about doing what you want them to do).
I'm going to trust you are in business for good.
You'll need to fill out this lead capture page here to watch video 1 and 2.
I'd like to focus you today on Mark's video (that's video 2, which you'll see in there).
He's talking about 'creating a buyer's rush' --
It's a fantastic free training that will teach many of you something likely missing from your marketing and overall game plan.
I'm sure it will make a big difference for you.

Excellent article Mike and the videos were invaluable...makes absolute logical sense.
I also wanted to say that your comment about capitalism amongst the phamaceutical companies struck a personal cord with me....I wish I could have gotten through to a person that was very dear to me before he underwent the harsh, sinster approach that was chemotherapy...Im no doctor just one that understands the conept of creating fear amongst society and the power that these so called "authoritive companys" and "research institutes" actually have!
I for one do not support much of this and rather a natural alternative of both thoughts, healthful diet and common sense.
I will leave it at that but your reference to this sturck a note.
Cheers,
Capt.Liz
I know some love him and some love to hate him, but I recently watch Micheal Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" - a documentary that went straight to DVD and felt sick by how hard this country has been hit by nothing more than greed. It personally affects me because at the young age of 24, I was pushed into a subprime mortgage and now am at the doorstep of losing my house after pouring all of my money into it to renovate and make it my own. I don't blame a single person for this other than myself. I knew better and still willingly went into the foxes den. Never lose your integrity and you will have everything you will ever need in life.
Agree with Capt. Liz - well written article + two invaluable videos. Actually watched Joanathan's - haven't watched Mark's yet. Albeit - 1st things first. Am now 28 days into my Renegade Professional studies. Just working thru your Twitter tutorials - rewatched Twitter 09 this morning. Despite my discipline, am already falling behind in actionizing my RPro 90-day Action Guide. All to say - FOCUS is, in my opinion, the only way I'll methodically build on the "step-by-step" program you've laid out. All to say - as I'm also internalizing "Marketing Funnel Mastery" which I believe is essential for a '1000 feet top down overview' of the business - my plate is full. I also work 24-30-hours weekly at COSTCO to supplement Social Security. I may be sacrificing some immediate cash flow not executing Jonathan & Mark's concepts - but in the long run I'll more than make that up leveraging off the solid foundation of knowledge RPro offers. Have done this twice before in my 45-year career leading 2 national companies. God willing and my good health maintaining will empower me to help thousands of Seniors learn and earn extra retirement income with Internet Attraction Marketing. Am very grateful for all the value content you, Ann Sieg, and your colleagues are sharing. Yours in gratitude, Jerry Levy
