'Branding Yourself' by Adding Your Content to Renegade University
Many of you have started adding your own content to Renegade University, which is great. If you haven't you should because it brands YOU when your prospects are visiting.
If you don't know how or why you would want to add your content to the University, see the bottom of this email in the P.S. section for details.
Important Note to those who have added content to their University...
I am seeing that many of you are linking to content specifically 'selling' or presenting your opportunity or products. I don't suggest you do that in this particular location--you should first establish that YOU are the right person to be in business with... build a relationship by offering value.
Link to content inside the University that provides value to these different groups of people:
1. People looking for the right opportunity. Don't pitch your stuff or they'll be repelled... attract these people with information that is helpful -- they'll figure out on their own that if you are presenting such information you might be the right person to join and seek out. If you call them they'll know you and already trust you. Or, they may call you first.
2. People in an opportunity now who are struggling in their company. You never need to try to influence people to leave their opportunity if they're happy. But many are not getting their needs met by their business (upline doesn’t talk to them, the business isn't aligned with their values, etc). If they see good valuable information from you about 'attraction marketing' or 'how to choose the right business for you,' ... or 'related tips' or anything related at all... they will naturally gravitate to you.
3. People who will never leave their company but who will follow you to the end of time because you introduce them to things that help them in their own business. This is great because they will buy affiliate products from you, for months and years to come. That's great support while you're building your residuals.
When you link to info about your company or products BEFORE a relationship is established, it looks like you're selling--people don't like selling with self-interest (they want to see that you think about their interests first).
There is a time and a place for introducing your products and opportunity--we are building a section at the University and at Marketing Merge to support you in introducing your prospects to your opportunity at the appropriate place and time. So keep producing and improving content about your products and company if you want to--just don't be putting it in your Profile (to be displayed at the University) at this time. Use that area to display that you are a selfless (and attractive) marketer.

P.S. More About How and Why You Want to Post Your Content into Your Profile Area so Prospects See it at the University.
Attraction marketing is all about giving something first--showing that you're not just interested in selling your stuff, but that you're more interested in helping them (the prospect) get what they want. When you create content that shares from this perspective, you attract people.
You see, people love to buy... but they hate being sold to. So when you share some information, even if it's just a tip or an experience on a topic your prospect might be interested in... They start to like and trust you.
They let their guard down long enough to get to see what you're really all about and what you offer. They love to buy from people who they like. So when you give content that shows you're interested in sharing with them, they are attracted to it. They want to see more from you and this can lead to them contacting you--especially when you set up your email campaigns.
When you create content, even if it's basic--link to it so your prospects see it at the University... that is 'value' that attracts them to you.
Where You Go to Link Your Content...
First, you have to have some content to link to. If you've gone through some tutorials in the step-by-step social marketing area, you've set some things up. If you haven't, you have to start there and create some content--which you can do within your first hour or so.
Once you have content created, copy the URL where your content is found... and link to it in the Edit Profile area of your Professional back office.
Here's how you get there:
- Log into your professional account at www.MarketingMerge.com
- Click on Renegade Professional Login
- Click on Account Options
- Click on Edit Profile
Below that area you see where you can paste or type in the URL for your content.
Again, if you're new and haven't started setting up content, begin at the beginning of the tutorials in your back office. Start with the Webinar that gives you a tour of the Professional Training back office. Once you start in the Social Marketing Tutorials you can set up your first content within hours or even your first hour.

These event may not be listed on the calendar in your back office when you get this email, but they'll be posted over the weekend. I wanted to give you as much notice as I could. I've just decided today to do these events.

As you start through the tutorials and begin setting up your own presence

feed your financial success indefinitely—

More About the Training Series Program...
I've been a little frustrated by the time line in completing the Training
Series I spoke about last week. I am still finishing up on it. In short,
it will become the basis for all of our training... and will make it much
easier to teach all of this.
So far, the Professional Training area has focused primarily on the
technical step by step details of setting up your own marketing online...
and we'll continue with that.
But it has been clear that a training foundation was needed to teach (and
make it easier for you to teach your own prospects and team) this
effectively. The Training Series will provide that foundation. I'll be
sharing it with you shortly and then we can get back to regular business
(regular training webinars and support calls).
Should you be calling your prospects that come into the University?
Yes. If you call prospects that have joined your list and met you inside
the University, it will certainly have a lot of benefits. You'll build
relationships faster… and that will lead to more and faster cash-flow and
enrollments.
But... it's not required any longer. You have another option.
You can choose to focus on setting up your marketing until you have all
the people you need coming to you… calling and emailing you first. So
you have a choice.
With that said, I suggest you DO call people if you're unsure which way to
go because it will speed up your growth significantly, while you're setting
things up so more people come to you.
We'll provide a lot of training in this area (about what to say on the
phone) but in the meantime, remember to provide solutions, offer help, but
don't waste time gabbing.
Identify where they’re at, how they’re doing and plug them into the
system if they want to learn how to attract prospects. Keep things simple
and think about the needs of others and you’ll do great.
Have you added your own links to Your Own Content inside the University
Yet?
Remember that if you’ve created some content at Squidoo, Hubpages,
Ezinearticles, a video, blog or a web site—link to it so that your
prospects will see it when they access your University.
The power of generating leads through the Renegade University lead capture
pages is that it sells you. That is key. And by having your own content
it shows you are a leader who offers value.
You can add those links from your Profile area in your system in your
Professional account.
Are You Having Challenges Finding Time to Set Things Up?
Whatever you do, don't let the challenges of your daily life allow you to
miss this window of time to get yourself up on the Internet in front of the
wave.
This system was priced extremely low on a monthly basis so you could go at
your own pace. It would take 3-9 years in this program to equal the cost
of many weekend trainings that cover much less.
Whether you get your initial web of content set up in 90 days or 6 months,
just be sure to follow through. The value is here.
Build your web of content and don’t ever expect to receive much until
you've given much (this is a law in all models of business). The cost for
time and financial freedom is high—but it IS realistic. If there has
ever been a right place and a right time, you’re standing on it.

Email Update Sent on June 5th: Something Huge
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share something pretty huge that's coming up...
I also have some updates and a message for those of you at the various stages of setting up your ‘attraction marketing’ content—like if you’re stuck anywhere in the process, for example.
A Formula for Creating Attractive Content
I've been working on a training series that I believe will have a profound impact in helping you (and your team) create content that is very attractive to your 'target markets.'
The training series is a step-by-step formula for creating content that ‘speaks’ to your prospects in such a way that they hear you and respond.
The training series is also going to be a powerful tool in helping your University prospects ‘get’ the message FASTER. That means more people who will see you as a valuable asset to their success as their guide—the precursor to building a business relationship and enrolling them onto your team.
Although we have had several Webinars sharing helpful ideas on creating your own content, most of our training so far has focused on getting you set up on the Internet for the first time in a large-scale way... to help you overcome the initial 'technical' hurdles and to see how everything links and fits together.
First and foremost you just need to get on the Internet in a big way and as long as you move through one tutorial at a time, you're doing this now.
That IS extremely important and we're proud of the results we’re seeing in the step-by-step approach--we're seeing it help hundreds of people to get out there online and start attracting prospects even though they knew nothing about the Internet just a couple months ago.
In fact, one of our members enrolled 12 new people into their primary business within a single month (when he had never done anything close to that before) and he didn't even know how to use email 6 months ago! And yet he’s now able to build his entire business with the online social marketing methods.
The 'Huge' Training Series Coming Up Will Take this to New Heights!
I know that the next step for most of you is getting 100% clear and confident on 'what kind of content' to create. The training series I'm working on will take you through a step-by-step process to help you do just that with more confidence and clarity.
But what I'm just as excited about is that part of this training series will be shared with your free University prospects. By helping them become crystal clear right away on how attraction marketing works upfront... I believe you will see a significant increase in responsiveness from prospects, coming to you in the form of more Professional upgrades, e-book purchases, and most important, phone calls and email questions to you, putting you in a better position to enroll them into your business.
Once we get through Phase II in the Professional back office (video marketing and a few other areas) we'll move further into training in this area... teaching more on what to say and do when your prospects call and email you. We'll also get into detail about what to say and do if you want to call them first.
Starting out with the first phase of the training, which I hope to be ready next week... we'll help you get a lot more clear on how to create valuable content for your prospects... and, as I mentioned, part of this series will be used to help your University prospects 'get' attraction marketing faster as well, which means more prospects seeking guidance from you and moving forward in all the ways we want to see.
I'll let you know when the first stage of this new training series is complete. I want to get it out to you as quickly as possible so it will initially be in written form... so you can start applying it to what you've been learning in your marketing already. Over time, we'll add more supportive Webinars that compliment the training for those at the Professional level and that's where we'll get into the 'what to say' to prospects on the phone.
We've already started to share 'what to say' in your emails to prospects to get them calling and emailing you first... be sure to read below for a link to the Email Marketing Course 5 Webinar if you haven't watched it.
A Message to Our Members Who are Just Getting Started...
If you're new or just getting ready to get back into going through the Professional training, here's all you need to do.
Start at the beginning in your Professional back office where it say 'Start Here Checklist.' Then follow the tutorials step-by-step. Within days you'll have your first content pieces up and on the net.
Within weeks or sooner you'll be getting into Phase II training, and from there you can start improving your results by building your 'web of content' foundation as instructed, step by step.
I'd like to see you creating a minimum of 30 content pieces between your first month and your 3 month. If you're behind, just go at your own pace. What's important is that you go because this new model is just starting to rev up… it’s not close to explosion phase yet.
If you move forward you will have tremendous advantages with the ability to generate your own leads, offer these highly targeted leads (and your knowledge) as an incentive for others to join your team, and to monetize in many different ways.
Keep moving forward at any pace and you'll protect yourself from the economic concerns of the day and future. If you set this up online you'll be able to leverage it into money in a million different ways... by offering real value to the right people.

It's long but it's detailed and specific about 'getting prospects to call and email you.' Even if you're not using I-contact (maybe you use Oprius or Awebber, etc), and even if you're still new in the training, I think that Email Marketing Course 5 is for anyone who wants to get clear on how you get this all set up so prospects actually call and email you first.

We'll pick up where we left off next week--right now I want to finish up on this new training series I mentioned first because I think it'll be huge.
Have You Added Your Content to Your University Yet?
A while back I mentioned you can now add your content to your University so your prospects inside the University can see you out there on the net and the value you offer. You can do this in the Edit Profile area. If you have questions contact support. I'll do a tutorial on it but not for a couple weeks... it's pretty self explanatory but again, if you need any help just email support@marketingmerge.com
I get a lot of questions like, 'How do I turn a generic networking prospect into a downline member?' Or, 'How can I attract prospects who are looking specifically for an opportunity right now?" And I often answer these questions as best I can for our support gal, Didi, to answer as they come in.
The bottom line is this... The Internet is changing everything about the networking business. You just have to first get your 30+ pieces of web content up there by following the tutorials. Then you improve upon it. You get your prospects list growing. Instead of cold calling and talking to 10 people a day the old way you do this. You create a residual effect where lead add onto your list each day even when you're doing other things or distracted. You build it up on your own time, over time--you go as fast or slow as you want to go.
But whatever you do, keep doing it because this has only began. What you're putting out there will be in front of a massive migration of networkers who haven't heard of any of this yet but will be for the next several years. Plant your seeds. You'll have a beautiful garden.
There is just no better way to protect yourself from this insecure economy than getting your tail online. So keep going through the tutorials at your own pace... watch Email Marketing Course 5... ask support if you need help knowing what your next best step is... and hang onto your hats because the email training series I mentioned above should be out next week!

This information is only for those who have gone through several weeks of training at the Professional level.
Update May 24th
Thursday's Email Marketing Class 5 should be up in the archived areas at Professional back office later today (Saturday May 24th). I highly encourage everyone to watch this at some point as it gives real examples of what you write prospects (and how to write your own) to get them calling and emailing you and interested in your specific offers.

What About Oprius -- an Email Marketing Solution that's Recnetly Been Added to the Renegade System?
Quite a few people have asked me about Oprius, an email company that provides a service similar to I-contact, Awebber, and others, which allow you to send emails to a large list at one time, or to set up auto-email campaigns or auto-responders.
Oprius offers other features that are tailor-made for the network marketer.
So why didn't we start teaching this instead of I-contact when we started our email marketing classes?
Because I haven't fully tested it yet.
Once I do I will certainly provide some training on how to use Oprius if it measures up to the deliverable rate of I-contact.
Deliverability is, by far, the most important thing to look for in an email service.
This means how many of the emails get delivered.
This will have a lot to do with how well established a company is with the email service providers like AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, and even bigger 'behind the scenes' players that decide whether or not an email gets delivered or blocked.
We have tested I-contact for several months before using it and deciding to teach with it. Once I'm satisfied with some preliminary testing with Oprius we'll provide training there.
Remember, when you're setting up your initial attraction marketing process, don't jump around a lot. New services will always come and go. The key is to set up your attraction marketing components (like having an email system in place) and then move forward. You can always come back and make changes going forward... after you're getting the results you're after.
We'll follow up on this in the future after I have had time to fully test the deliverability rates of Oprius. I'll let you know what I find.

You Can't Load Prospects You Have Purchased Into an Auto Responder
Loading leads you have purchased into an auto responder is considered Spam. It is also not very effective because your prospects don't know who you are or why you're sending them emails.
It can also get your account removed if the auto email company you're using finds out you're doing this. That's because their email delivery rate will go down (more emails will be blocked) and therefore, their other customers will move to a better email company.
This is different than loading in prospects that you have generated from your own marketing... such as when you generate the list from a lead capture page like The 7 Great Lies, Magnetic Sponsoring or Renegade University.
When you generate leads with these lead capture pages, or lead captures pages of your own, the leads will either know who you are (because they saw your name and face in Internet content you've created that attracted them to the lead capture page).... or they will most likely remember the topic, which would be very specific.
I should mention that there are 'grey areas' that you may get away with if you use your smarts. For example, some people buy leads from someone who only sells them to one person... and if you know exactly what's on that lead capture page you should be able to write an appropriate email that would allow your lead to know it's not spam.
In the next Email Marketing class (course 5) we're getting into detail about what to send to your list so they do remember that they had subscribed to your list... which is the perfect beginning to the emailing process.

Important Message About the Issue We Had with the System on May 15th
Hi everyone,
We had an issue with the system on the 15th and had to back up part of the database to the 8th.
You can continue referring prospects and using the system as usual.
However, any changes you made to your system between May 8th and the 17th might need to be done again.
Did you do any of the following between the 8th and the 17th?
-
Update or Edit your profile area in any way,
-
Change your username or password,
-
Change or add new text on your personal site.
Remember, this only affects changes you may have made between the 8th and 17th.
Any changes you made before the 8th or after the 17th should not be affected in any way.
Note that if you loaded photos into your system between the 8th and the 17th we still have them but they may not appear for you yet. We should be able to correct this within the next few days without you having to reload your photos.
While we were working on the problem for a few hours on the 15th we had to make a decision to either turn off the lead capture pages or direct all leads into one account so they weren't lost completely.
We decided to let prospects come in during that time so they weren't lost completely. So there were some referrals that came in on the 15th that were forwarded into my account.
It is very important to us that these end up with the right referrer.
We have been calling and emailing these prospects to determine their proper referrer (a huge job). There were just under 100 affected but we have been able to confirm 81 of these and have placed them to the proper referrer.
There are now about 20 remaining that we have not been able to personally reach yet, and we will continue following up with them.
In the case where a prospect does not know their referrer we ask a number of questions to back-track to where they may have found the referrer on the Internet.

We ask how they learned about the University
-
(If they don't know) We ask if they did a Google Search.
-
We ask where else they may have been that led them to the University originally (facebook, squidoo, etc)
-
Did they see a picture along the way.
-
Was it a man or woman.
- Did they come across an article, video or blog (etc).
So far we've been able to confirm the correct referrer through this process with the prospects we have reached. Although it has been extremely time consuming we feel it is very important to do all we can (of course).
Remember, this only affected leads that were coming in while we were responding to the problem for a few hours on the 15th. Any leads that came in before and after the 15th were awarded to the proper referrer as usual... and everything is working properly right now.
Basically, what happened was that a hacker had inserted a script through a lead capture form that scrambled all the Member IDs. All we had to do was back up the database to correct the issue. But while we were backing up the database we had the choice of shutting everything down, or to allow leads to continue to come in through the main account, which was not affected.
We decided to let leads in so prospects that came in during this time were not completely lost. Once the database was backed up, everything was back to normal later that same day (the 15th).
There may still be a few areas in the system that aren't working properly because they may have been impacted by the security we have added to prevent this from happening again.
We are correcting these areas as we find them.
You'll know if you come across this because you'll be forwarded back to the Marketing Merge login page (such as when you're trying to submit something or change something in your system).
If you see this please email us so we can correct it. We expect everything will be corrected within a few days or sooner.
Other than this, everything is back to normal but we have tons of work to do to play catch up so please try to minimize the emails to support at this time until we are caught up. Of course, if it's important go ahead and contact us but we are going to be back logged for a few days. Please don't email twice on the same issue. We're doing all we can to get caught back up.

Create Internet Marketing Content that Links Your MLM Company to Your Internet Marketing Coaching...
Did you know that there are people searching for an upline in your company?
And they're not just looking for just any upline, they're looking for someone to join who knows something about Internet attraction marketing.
If you started setting anything up at all from the Professional tutorials, you most likely have a jump start that they will want to learn from.
How do I know there are people searching for Internet attraction guides for specific companies?
I've been getting quite a few emails from people asking if I could refer them to someone who is at the Renegade Professional level and in a particular MLM company.
They are usually people who already know they want to join a particular company but haven't signed up yet. They tell me they'd like to join someone who is in Marketing Merge and who started using Internet attraction marketing.
I don't refer them to anyone because these people were already referred to Marketing Merge or the University by a guide who wouldn't appreciate me sending their prospects elsewhere.
However, they often go to Google or Yahoo and search for Renegade University and (company X). Or, Marketing Merge and (Company X).
Will you come up?
If you're very far through the tutorials, at least to Phase II, you already know how you could come up.
These are the best most targeted leads already eager to sign up with your company.
And what this tells me is that there are people looking for Internet Network Marketing coaching WITHIN a particular network marketing company even outside of the search for The Renegade and (Network Marketing Company X).
If I were you I'd be creating squidoo and hubpages (as well as blog or web pages) targeting key words like:
Internet Network Marketing and (Your Company Name Here).
or...
Internet Network Marketing Coaching and (Your Company Here).
and...
Renegade University and (Your Company Name Here).
and...
Marketing Merge and (Your Company Here).
and...
The Renegade Network Marketer and (Your Company Here).
You get the point.
Now you don't have to create several different pages although you could.
One options is to create one page that would share a little about the new model of marketing and how people in X company who are seeking guidance will find useful information at your page. Give useful tips for people in company X (your company or others) and at the bottom have a message that if they're seeking a guide to contact you.
Then create lots of incoming links to that one page (with variations of what people might be typing in)... like 'Company X and Internet Marketing' and 'Company X and Renegade University' -- and so on.
People who are looking to join a specific company who want an upline who is involved with Marketing Merge and/or Internet network marketing will find you.
(Hey, if you're new to Marketing Merge training, just go through your step by step tutorials and this will all make sense soon).
And a note to everyone: we'll be covering this in webinars and I'll be giving you tons of training on things like this going forward. It will all become simple to you if you work hard and let your imagination wander at the same time.

Internet Network Marketing: Improving Your SEO with Wise Anchor Text
Once you have created some Internet content you want to make slight adjustments to keep improving your results to generate more and more leads on a steady basis.
Most likely you've just started this process and you're wondering where you can improve. I'll show you one very big area you can improve on today.
Commit to constant and never-ending improvement and you'll have 30+ leads coming in a day (and a lot of cash-flow) for whatever target market you want. You'll write your own ticket in any business if you see this process through.
If you've created a Squidoo Lens, Hub Page, Blog, Article, Site, or ANY Internet content at all, and you've watched the Phase II tutorial on how to use anchor text to improve your search engine rankings, this email will help you improve your results significantly... with only a slight adjustment to the way you use anchor text.

The Biggest Improvement Members Can Make...
I'm always looking through member's content to see where I might improve or add to the training tutorials.
One thing I caught recently is that many of you are linking directly to your lead capture pages for Renegade University, The Renegade Network Marketer, Building on a Budget, Magnetic Sponsoring, SBI, and a long list of other affiliate products.
That's great that you're putting those links in front of your audience, but here's a tip that will significantly increase the number of leads you generate from your current efforts.
1. Create an Internet page (like a Squidoo, Hub, Blog post, or site page, whichever) that gives an overview of each of these affiliate products you're referring to.
2. Give a review of that affiliate product on that page you create (like a review on Renegade University, Renegade Professional, Renegade Network Marketer, Renegade System, Magnetic Sponsoring, SBI, etc).
3. On this review page you'll of course want to link directly to your affiliate links.
4. Now, go back through all your content at your Squidoo, Blog, Ezinearticle, etc... and look for where you may have linked to an affiliate link (like Renegade Network Marketer, University, Renegade System, Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget, etc)... and link to the review page instead.
Why?
Because as we've covered in the Phase II tutorial intro class, every link is a vote in the eyes of the search engines like Google. So you want to create a lot of incoming links to your own content.
If you don't do what I'm suggesting here, and you link to your Renegade affiliate page (for example) without first linking to a page that reviews the Renegade, you aren't giving your own content a vote. You won't have a page that can come up on the search engines for that search term and you're totally missing the boat (and the point) to the goal here.
But if you link 'Renegade Network Marketer' to a review page that you've created about The Renegade Network Marketer, you now have a better chance of coming up on the search engines when people search for Renegade Network Marketer (in this example).
And it's not just about the search engines. Content on Hub pages and Squidoo or Ezinearticles can attract traffic and leads from other sources as well.
Let me repeat the goal here this way:
When you're linking to things, make sure you find every opportunity to link to your own stuff!
You may have to create some short and sweet review in order to accomplish that. You can always come back and make it better later. But at least start creating links to your own stuff (about Renegade University, Renegade Network Marketer, Building on a Budget, etc).
In fact, you should have a review page on people too. So in your writing when you use the words Ann Sieg, link it to a review page you have on her. And so on and so on. This is what I mean when I say build a web of content.
Do this and you'll start generating a ton of leads.
Important...
But do it outside of just Renegade, Ann Sieg, Building on a Budget, etc.
Another example:
If you referred to a book in an article and linked to an Amazon book... you could instead link to a VERY short and sweet overview about the book, which then links to the Amazon link where they can buy the book.
Now when people search for that book there's a good chance you'll come up on the search engines?
Let's say that book was 'Your First Year in Network Marketing,' by Mark Yarnell, which is highly searched. How beneficial would it be to be coming up on the search engines when search for this (or the hundreds of other books your target market is searching for?)
If you only had linked to the Amazon link without first creating some content to link to, you'd be missing all those leads you can generate.
When you build out your web of content look at what you've already created. Look at what you can create next based on what you've already written about.
For example, another top search phrase is 'Network Marketing books.' Look for places in your already existing content to 'plant' these kinds of terms into. Then create a page about 'Network Marketing books' in this example. Then whenever you're creating new content going forward and you see a chance to use that term 'network marketing books' link it to that page so it has a great chance of coming up.
There are tens of thousands of things you can do this with. And this applies to any target market, not just network marketing. I just used those examples.

By the way, another good tool you can use in addition to Good Key Words (that may even be easier) when seeing what key words might be the best to target is: http://www.freekeywords.wordtracker.com
You can type in a key word and quickly see how popular it is. This helps determine which key words might be best to go after next. It may also show you why you may be coming up on search engines but not getting any traffic yet.
There are benefits to starting with low ranking words that few people type in just to get on the radar with Google and Yahoo. But once you come up on the search engines for those you want to quickly move onto going for more competitive words. You'll have content already in place to create incoming links to do that.

I've also hired a part-time helper to post this content onto the web at a number of predetermined locations (the same places we've been teaching you about), and I've hired a 2nd part-time person who is more advanced at SEO to go through each of those individual content areas and use proper anchor text and SEO strategies (as we have been teaching you).
Of course, I will make a final pass through all of this content and regularly revisit each area to optimize what's created.
So over a 90 day period, we will be producing 360 individual pages of content, targeting very specific key words and linking them for optimization (as we've been teaching you how to do but on a much grander scale).
I will be leveraging the page rank of my current Internet content to create faster results. Much of my content ranks on Google from a 1-3+. This means that these pages have some 'pull' on the search engines and I'll be using it to drive traffic to the 'Guide' community.
Why Would I Do All This Work to Generate Traffic for Others?
Because I believe we can accomplish something incredible as a Mastermind group with a common goal.
Instead of taking all of this traffic for myself I am convinced we can lead the charge for change in the networking industry by working together.

Finding Time to Accomplish Your Network Marketing Goals

A note to beginners and those of you with challenging schedules:
For those of you who aren't at the stage yet of needing to set up your own Email Marketing campaigns... remember, you don't need to attend every event we hold.
Everyone will be setting up an 'attraction marketing' business at a very different pace. What's important is that you move forward at some pace and never give up on your goals.
This may mean watching one tutorial every two weeks during hard times when your schedule is rough. Then, when things free up you can conquer one or more tutorials per day for a period of time.
By approaching the process this way you maintain a level of momentum and progress forward.
This is a fundamental key to success.
Getting from where you are now to where you want to be requires a specific (but simple) strategy:
1. Decide what you want your life to be (more free time, better financial picture, etc)
2. Be willing to start from where you are with your situation as it is now (you can't start from anywhere else)
3. Be willing to learn from others who have walked the path before you (this speeds things up)
4. Take actions when you can. If that's a little now it's completely OK as long as you seize opportunities when you have them to do more when the chance arises.
THAT is the single path that will take you where you want to go.
Those who get off this path won't arrive anywhere they want to actually be, and they often struggle for much of their lives because of it.
Some people love to try to make this a lot more complicated but it really isn't complicated.
The path to success is narrow.
It is aligned with signs all pointing in the same direction.
The other paths you can choose to take lead to poverty... both financial poverty and emotional poverty as well (these are the paths of distraction, worry, blame, regret, being a victim, confusion, overwhelm, indecision and the list goes on...). These paths to poverty are covered with conflicting signs and thickets... they all lead to endless struggle.
So, stay the course based on what you want to achieve in YOUR life.
Back to the subject of these training tutorials...
Don't allow yourself to get overwhelmed if you can't attend every single event we hold. You're not supposed to. Simply start from where you're at and move at the pace you're able to. That's it!

Marketing Merge Updates - Email Sent May 6th to Professionals
If you're new to 'Professional' at Marketing Merge, welcome.
Our suggestion to you is to keep things simple.
Follow the tutorials step-by-step as they've been placed in front of you in your Professional back office.
Remember, you're creating a life-long rewarding position on the Internet that will continually allow you to attract prospects and customers to you for any business you choose to pursue.
Like anything valuable this takes work.
But it's not an overstatement to say this process will change your life if you see it through.
Changes and Updates at Marketing Merge and the University...
1. Over the next couple days we're upgrading the University so that you can show off your 'Internet content' to your prospects as they enter your University system.
You'll be able to add links to your articles, Squidoo lens, blog, web site, video and other content at the left side margin on each page at the University, bringing the system to life.
This is going to help you in at least two ways.
First, it shows your prospects you're a leader with value to offer them. It further builds the relationship and shows them that you lead by doing. That will help to attract business partners who are seeking guidance.
Second, it pushes more traffic into the content you're creating, which improves search engine rankings and gives you more exposure, which generates a growing number of leads (as we've discussed in the tutorials).
So over the next few days prepare to choose your favorite Ezine article, Hub Page, Squidoo Lens, Video and Blog or Web Site to place into your University.
You may want to do some refining to improve what you've done. You'll want to show your best work.
I'll soon have a Webinar going over how I'm using this new feature at the University and will give you some tips as well.
2. We have made some recent changes to the University that make it more streamlined, simpler for newbies, and that highlight you even more as the guide. You can view these changes, and more that will be added over the next few days, by logging into your professional back office and clicking on the 'Go Back to School' icon.
3. One of the changes we made was removing the link to the Marketing Merge Network Blog.
We'll make this blog more generic before referring anyone to it again.
I'd like the Marketing Merge Network blog to be 100% for the support of the community and not in any way promoting me personally. We'll let you know when it's ready.
4. We are still working on the Marketing Merge Mastermind course plan. We will be making an announcement as soon as this is ready. The Mastermind will allow groups to work together and to receive personal attention to help improve their marketing strategy.
5. For those of you following the video marketing course, the video tutorial is posted in the Professional training area on how to get a camera if you need one. We'll start a consistent schedule for the video marketing courses later this month and will then be having them nearly each week for some time.
6. The next Email Marketing class is on Thursday. We'll post the registration link (and email it) on Wednesday. It will be held at 6:30 pm PDT on Thursday. Remember, we're not just covering how to use I-contact to set up your own auto-email campaigns.
We're also going to teach what content to put into your emails to prospects so you are providing the kind of value that attracts them to your offers (your opportunity or products).

What is important is to go at your own pace, step by step, following the courses in the order they are presented to you. Do this until you have things down well enough to know how to pick and choose what you're excited to learn about next. Always consult with your guide if you need help.

Once you're at this point, you focus on your links and anchor text (ad described in Phase II).
You use social book marking properly... as discussed in the tutorials.
Most important, you create new content (lots of it)... or you hire someone else to do it as we've shared... to bring traffic to older content you have. You keep building things up and out UNTIL you get the desired result.
If you're at this point in the process, this will be the focus of the next tutorials in Phase II.
Again, if you're new... start from the beginning. It won't be long you'll be right here following every detail of what we've discussed today. It's a process like anything else. But it's one that pays indefinitely if you see it through.

Relax. It's a Beautiful Day!
This is an email I recently sent to the community to share another side of Internet attraction marketing I don't usually talk about. But it's truly an important message to remember as you go forward here.
15 years ago when I was first being mentored in my networking business, a very successful upline took me to a party--a backyard barbecue.
I didn't like parties.
I wanted to build my business.
In the car, on the way there, he shared some things with me that he knew I needed to hear.
While I heard his words... I didn't listen.
It appeared to me that what he was saying had nothing to do with making money in my business.
Just tell me what I have to do... cut the B.S.
There's no time to play around. I've got goals to accomplish. Places to go, people to see.
There are a lot of people who opened this email with skepticism.

It's easy to forget what matters most in life when we have a goal to accomplish... with a thousand things in the way. We just want to make money and we want to make it NOW.
