Magnetic Sponsoring: What is Mike Dillard’s Network Marketing Business?

Quick, what’s the product or network marketing business that Mike Dillard sells in Magnetic Sponsoring?

I don’t know either. In fact, I haven’t a clue what Mike Dillard’s business opportunity is.

I’ve gotten my hands on all of his books. Nowhere in his books does he talk about his product or his network marketing business.

Dillard Never Leads with his Business Opportunity or Product

Mike Dillard designed it that way. Magnetic Sponsoring is not about selling a product or business; it’s about selling You, Inc.

Dillard knows that people aren’t interested in joining a business. They are interested in joining a real person; one they believe can help them achieve their goals.

Magnetic Sponsoring is a how-to guide for building your network marketing downline. Building your network marketing organization is not about moving the product.

Sure, product must be sold, or there wouldn’t be a business; but the product is not the “magnet” which draws the people – you are. When you are recruiting, it’s all about what you bring to the table. Not your company, its products or its marketing plan.

Building a Network Marketing System

I guess a lot of distributors miss this; or at least the training they receive says product and business opportunity first. When they get the chance to talk to a prospect, they place the network marketing company and the product first.

But Magnetic Sponsoring tells us that the key to sponsoring is selling prospects a generic marketing system and solution instead of your company’s business.

Your system should be one that can be used by any network marketer, no matter which company they represent

Eventually the topic of your company will come up. When the time is right, and assuming there is a good fit between you and the prospect, you will get a recruit.

But the whole premise on which Magnetic Sponsoring is based is that it is almost irrelevant what company or opportunity the prospect chooses.

It’s what the prospect does with their personal marketing that makes the difference.

So in the first interactions with a prospect, you should be concentrating on what you can do to help them become successful.

You, Inc.

That’s where the selling of you comes into the picture. You need to be in a position that leads the prospect to want to follow you to success.

You are selling your sponsoring and marketing system. Mike Dillard’s downline uses Mike’s marketing and Magnetic Sponsoring systems.

Your downline will work with your sponsoring system, not Dillard’s, whether it’s magnetic or not.

Magnetic Sponsoring is a network marketing tool. It’s a collection of ideas that have proven successful for Mike Dillard. So successful in fact that the book sells with great success. But it’s his system. Not yours.

Dillard is offering you a blue print in Magnetic Sponsoring to build your own system for your own downline.

The Funded Proposal Generates Income so You Can Build Your Network Marketing Business

I was on YouTube the other day and I found a post saying you needed to be in Mike Dillard’s downline to use Magnetic Sponsoring’s tools. Somehow I think they missed the point.

The Magnetic Sponsoring System is a funded proposal. It is a way to generate income to fund your own marketing strategies, while building up your network marketing business. It doesn’t matter whether that business is Mike Dillard’s, or a completely different company.

Dillard is trying to teach you to become a leader, not a follower.

You have a choice. You can choose to join Mike Dillard’s team and plug into his Magnetic Sponsoring system. Or you can use the teachings of the system to build your own killer sponsoring machine. It’s up to you. Either way, Dillard puts the tools in your hands.

The quintessential point is two fold -

1. Sell YOU Inc. - put that to the forefront of your marketing, nothing else. And the way to do that is to offer "insane" value. The best way to offer insane value is to assess who you would like to give value to...this would be called your target market. Trying to appeal to Everyone will attract No One. So it's best to get really focused and narrow on something specific, over time you can widen outward.

2. The tools are in your hands you just have to follow through and participate in your own success. With the right training mixed with the right amount of follow-through over a consistent period of time, and staying focused on ONE thing (not bouncing all over the place), success is predictable. It's not a 90 days to 10K a month thing either...there is no time frame. Could be much shorter than 90 days - depends on what you bring to the table ahead of time. Could be a full year if you're starting from scratch. Either way, the tools are at your disposal.

Action Time - it's fundamental texts like Magnetic Sponsoring and Renegade Network Marketer (and I also recommend Attraction Marketers Manifesto) that get you started conceptually and from there, you started applying that knowledge with a training program. Like Renegade Professional.

It's helpful to have a Guide along the way. You're going to have questions. There will come times you get stuck. It happens to all of us. Between having a guide and being able to learn to self lead yourself, you're gaining the necessary skills to become successful.
