By using the web, you attract people who are interested in the same topics that are related to your business.  Therefore, they have needs that your business addresses for them. 

When you use the web you're able to share things with your audience in articles, videos, or a blog that they appreciate because it 'speaks to their' interests.  This builds value and trust between you and them.

You're then able to attract customers from this audience (from your blog or other web locations, and from your email list, which they've joined... or by phone after they've requested you to call them).
